The Lawson Family Foundation is dedicated to #DoGood within our Community! We are proud to announce our annual Adopt-A-Teacher initiative. Teachers are such an integral and important part of kids’ lives. They sacrifice and persevere, even during the hardest of challenges. Teachers carry an unrivaled passion to educate and mentor the next generation. This is our way of saying THANK YOU!
For a teacher to be nominated, she/he has to be a Teacher within Sumter County. Your nominations will help us decide who to adopt! Use the Nomination Form below to let us know the name of the teacher, why you’re nominating this awesome Teacher and the name of the school where the Teacher works his/her magic.
We will make our selection on August 1! Help us to Do Good!

Meet Chloe Pritchett-Ward, the 2024-2025 recipient of our Adopt-A-Teacher Initiative.
“Hello! My name is Chloe Pritchett-Ward, and I am going into my 9th year as an English Language Arts teacher at Sumter Central High School, home of the mighty Jaguars, my home away from home. If you can’t tell from my introduction, I love my school, my students, and education. I love waking up every morning knowing that today is one more day to shape a young person’s future. There is nothing more important to me than building a positive relationship with my students. Aside from my classroom duties, I also serve as the coach of the Dance Team where I get to share my other great passion, dancing. I am looking forward to this new year and am so thankful for this opportunity.”
As our Adopt-A-Teacher Recipient, Chloe will receive up to $1500 for her classroom wish lists, as well as other gifts. We look forward to supporting her through this year as she supports our future through educating our children!
